These phones are well made, the sound quality is good, and many nice features. This was one of the best tested phones on Consumer Reports.com.

Terrible sound quality, October 25, 2011

I was excited about this phone when I saw the big screen and all the menu options, but I just can't get past the bad sound quality. There is a constant static noise in the background, and whole words drop out of the conversation. It is bad whether you are at home using the phone or calling home from another phone. It behaves similarly to a Panasonic DECT phone that I shelved for the same reason. Is it DECT?
